Thomas Griebel is a Graphic Designer who currently resides in Rochester, NY. He earned his Commercial Art and Illustration associate degree from Monroe Community College in 2020. He is now pursuing a bachelor’s degree in graphic design at the Rochester Institute of Technology, slated for completion in 2024. He is currently a graphic designer for the RIT K-12 University Center where he has created many successful projects with the team.
Thomas is driven by the belief that images possess a unique ability to convey messages and evoke emotions. His diverse portfolio includes impactful posters, intuitive maps, memorable logos, and more, with select pieces serving as educational resources in classrooms during his drawing career. He likes editorial design, information design, branding, wayfinding/signage, and advertising. He also likes to dabble into presentation and motion design.
Outside of Graphic Design, Thomas enjoys going for walks and bike rides along the Erie Canal, playing video games such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart, Fire Emblem, Burnout Paradise, and more. He also enjoys studying the History of Rochester, Exploring new places, and photography as a hobby. At RIT, he is currently the Public Relations Chair and performer of WADAIKO, a Japanese Taiko drumming club.
