Letchworth State Park Posters

Two posters that showcase Letchworth State Park, located one hour south of Rochester, NY showcasing some points of interests and history in the area, while using the same twenty photos on both posters.
Task/Objectives
The task was to create two posters of Letchworth State Park that showcases both points of interest and history. My goal was to provide information to not only people who may have already visited the park previously, but also have people unfamiliar with the park be provided information that could encourage them to visit the park.
Research & Development
Some of the photos I took while I was in Letchworth for the project. Also took picture of the information kiosks to help me with gathering history. I used online and book sources to gather images and other information.
Early sketches of the posters. I knew at the start one poster would feature a map, but the timeline would be changed throughout the project.
The two typefaces that I used for the project, Interstate (left) for headings and Neuzeit Grotesk (right) for body text.

Initial finalized version of the posters from 2022. While I really liked how they turned out, I thought they could've been improved upon to make them look even more professional.

Final Posters

Final first poster featuring a map of Letchworth and points of interests.

Final second poster that is a timeline of four separate eras of the park.

Both posters together.

Dark Versions
As a challenge to myself, I decided to create an alternative, darkened color variant of posters that works against a black background. With the color changes, it really makes them pop out.
