A map designed featuring the Town of Pittsford highlighting their old historic single room schoolhouses, known as districts, that date back to the late 1700s, a few years after the Town’s incorporation. One map is a physical map, while the other one is a digital map, both serving the same purpose. Designed to be used as a self-guided tour, These maps also follow the branding standards of the Town of Pittsford.
Physical Map
The physical map is a double-sided single sheet of paper with the map on one side and information about each district on the other. Users can enter the address that is provided and follow the route. The list on the back is in order by the route.
Digital Map
The digital map acts like the physical version but uses the same branding system for touch screens. Users tap on each schoolhouse to learn more about them, a photo is provided for reference, and can copy and paste the address to the user's preferred mapping software of their choice.
You can try out the demo here! For demonstration purposes, only Districts 1 and 8 are prototyped. You can drag the map around, can also zoom in and zoom out on the map using the + or - buttons. Tap anywhere on the map to view what you can tap.
