Significant Comics
2020 Adventure
This comic details my experience of the Coronavirus in the year 2020 to March 2021 (when it was drawn). This was drawn for MCC Comic Anthology Book with the theme "2020: the year in review." The story begins a day after Monroe County's first positive case to a series of selected events that followed. And boy was I totally wrong about it lasting until the end of spring break (about 1 month.) This was done with microns and paper.
The Japanese text reads "Do it again. Repeat after me."
Cuomo Political Cartoon
A political cartoon I made for my comics course at MCC featuring Andrew Cuomo and his scandals that were appearing when this was written (April 2021). I included as much symbolism as possible from his 'NYS CLEAN' hand sanitizer, to his PowerPoint clicker, and even his Covid Mountain behind the curtain, where in this cartoon are his scandals hiding with people telling someone to shut up or they'll be killed. This was done with microns on paper with a halftone pattern applied on the curtains and table.
This cartoon has also been used for educational material.
There is No Such Thing as a Coincidence
This comic is based off a meme that was somewhat popular at the time it was created. I changed a few of the words from the original to make it more sense in this context. Part of the inspiration of this comic comes from the fact I recently stayed a week with a bass just chilling near our cottage for the entire week. This comic was done with microns on paper.
Town Meeting Lessons
This comic is based off a true story that happened to me when I was young. I played a Mic based Mario Party DS Minigame during a townhall meeting and well, I got a bunch of looks. Anyway, in this comic, I decided to experiment with some shading on the computer after already drawing it with microns on paper. The shading here is primary the grays. I also experimented with an all caps type for the text in general.

[Art Teacher vs. Crayola] – My art teacher in 10th grade spoke passionately that she hated Crayola, despite what it said on the packaging. While my pencils were never thrown into a Kiln in real life, I decided to add a bit of humor to the story. 10th grade also happened to be the year which I graduated from Crayola colored pencils, so there’s that. Done on paper with Micron Pens.

[Spot on] When killing a wasp goes wrong. This was done on paper with Micron Pens, but I felt like the digital coloring was a bit too much here. I also experimented more with text effects and normal effects as well to help make it exciting.

[Insta-Bot] My response to the bots who immediately comment on my posts less than 5 seconds after posting. This was again done on paper with Micron Pens, and some digital filling. I also put in some of my previous works into the comic as well.
